Welcome to Kate's MiniMonsters website!

What's new with the MiniMonsters?

In February, 2012, Taco, the corn snake, Salsa, the milk snake, and I went to Haverhill to work with hypnotherapist Peter J Doherty and a very brave lady with a severe snake phobia.  It was brilliant to witness someone's fear turn into fascination in such a short time period.

Live'n'Deadly

Having been part of the Deadly Day Out in Norwich back in 2010, the MiniMonsters and I were excited to be asked to join Steve Backshall and the Live'n'Deadly crew in Preston, Lancashire on November 13th, 2011.

Cedric the curly hair tarantula, Sheila the Maclay's Spectre stick insect and other creepy crawly friends boarded a train from Norwich to join Steve, Naomi and the Deadly team for a great weekend 'up North'.

I really enjoyed having a cuddle with CBBC Norman, the Giant Gambian Pouched Rat - they can grow to three feet in length!

We've got our fingers crossed that Deadly Days Out will return in 2012 (and hopefully with a venue in the East!).

MiniMonsters now has a Facebook page and a Youtube channel (links on the Blog page!)

 

Important Information:

The MiniMonsters Roadshow is available for visits to schools, groups, events and parties throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, and occasionally further a field.

All roadshow sessions are presented by myself, Kate Jackson, an experienced zoologist and educator, with bags of enthusiasm, knowledge and a daft sense of humour.

Visits are available Monday to Saturday, mornings, afternoons & evenings.  Sunday is rest day for myself and the animals.

I have £5 million public liability insurance and strict health & safety and welfare policies - guidelines for organisers are sent out with bookings.  I am also CRB checked and have completed DfES, child protection and first aid courses.

If you contact me by email and do not receive a response within three working days, please phone 07847 427004.  Your emails or my replies do occasionally disappear into the www for no apparent reason - I will always respond to any enquiries as soon as possible, so please do leave a message on my answer phone if I am unable to take your call.  Thank you.
